About the LoFli Ball

We created the LoFli baseball to deliver the feel and performance of a real baseball. Same weight, but softer impact, and reduced flight distance so you can play ball in more places.

Less Chasing. More Hitting.

We built the LoFli ball to fly like a real baseball when thrown and to reward solid contact when hit. This gives hitters meaningful practice with less time picking up balls and more time swinging.

Made For The Whole Game.

Not just for hitting. LoFli has the weight of a real ball, with a softer, durable construction that's great for throwing, catching, and fielding drills. One ball. More ways to play.

Here’s what the coaches & kids are saying

  • If you have kids, these are the balls you’ve been looking for but couldn’t find. Perfect for practice/playing around in the yard.
    — Nate
  • You can soft-toss or throw BP from 30ft. Throw-weight feels identical to a baseball and it has raised seas for grip familiarity.
    — Hutt865
  • You can swing and hit these so hard and they won’t go very far. I was worried they would feel awkward or break open, but nope. They are doing great. Highly recommend for any level of experience.
    — Travis
  • My Kiddo loves these things and has quickly gained confidence standing in front of the ball or under the ball when it’s a pop fly.
    — Arthur
  • If you are a coach, or a player who wants a ball to practice with in a confined space, look no further. This is the BEST option out there by far!
    — J.L.
How far do they actually fly?
Roughly half the distance of a standard baseball when hit, which is what makes a backyard, a gym or a park big enough to take real swings in.
Who are they for?
Kids, teens and adults. Younger players and beginners get to build confidence without giving up the weight and size competitive players expect.
What drills do they work for?
Soft toss, batting practice, pitching drills, ground balls, glove work and warmups. Raised seams give a familiar pitching grip.

Great ball for backyard baseball and practice hitting

These are a great alternative to whiffle balls and baseballs for practice in the backyard. We have used all types of balls for practice but these are great because they have the weight of a baseball but the flight of a whiffle and they are squishy so they will not break a window or fly over the fence. They are also great because you can pitch them more like a baseball. They are similar to some of the heavy balls we use as far as how they feel but more like a baseball in feel. They are a great option for practice, and I would highly recommend for backyard play.

Great product. Kids able to fill swing in the backyard without worrying about the windows or getting hurt. 6 and 9 year olds love them!

Great baseball training balls!

I got these for my little league team. They’re great training balls because the weight is the same as a real ball. And I like the feel of the mock thread as well. Highly recommend!

I'll Need a Bucket of These!

Great product! Not a flimsy foam ball or whiffle ball - pitches and hits like a regulation ball. I'll need a bucket of these! - Little League Dad

Buy them!

Just bought a second box after using them a few times. I’m impressed. Wind has ZERO effect on the flight of these balls. You can soft-toss or throw BP from 30.’ Throw-weight feels identical to a baseball and it has raised seams for grip familiarity. Has a better, higher-pitch thud and more realistic impact feel than hitting weighted balls. They force you to swing correctly in order to send it. The resistance feedback, at impact, feels better (doesn’t jar the hands/wrists) than weighted balls. 20X better than any plastic whiffle made. They travel an appropriate distance when hit well which is 2X-3X further than heavy balls. Hitters seem more engaged because they get a prolonged glimpse of the flight path/launch angle…unlike weighted balls. Its seems like you might be able to adjust the amount of air in the balls which may alter the amount of flight (I am 100% guessing based on the inflation nozzle on each ball). I like the distance they travel right out of the box. It’s not too far where you’re wasting time but it’s also not as boring/routine as weighted balls. 20-30yards (depending on players age) of open space or one side of an outfield and you’re good for “swing away” reps. In my opinion, hitting with them isn’t even the best part. Because of their to-spec size and weight (to a regulation baseball) my other players can now shag with their gloves to get warm-up, defensive and throwing reps (infield and outfield groups). Swings, glove reps and warm-up throws all at once. You can’t do that with weighted balls or whiffles. We have always used reduced flight balls for team BP if our tourney venue doesn’t have cages and/or we have access to an open area. We have tried every kind of whiffle/foam/crush-less ball on the market, over the last 7 years (7U to 14U-currently), and nothing hits/throws like these. We won’t use anything else going forward. I have put roughly 400 hits through my first set and they don’t show any signs of damage (longevity/durability is still unknown but their high-quality is evident). I paid for these (they weren’t given to me to try). I have only done a handful of product reviews in the 25 years I’ve been using Amazon. This is probably the longest review I’ve ever typed. Sometimes, something new comes along that is worth buying and these are one of those items. Simple, good quality and effective.

Family fun

As a grandparent of an enthusiastic 8 year old baseball player, I so appreciate not having to retrieve baseballs from too far away, and and our grandson didn't have to wait while his Bubba & Yaya did some version of running. The LoFli is a fun and practical ball for playing catch and batting!

Excellent practice ball! especially for younger kiddos!

These things are awesome!!!! I bought these looking for a practice ball for my 6yo that is playing teeball. I was always a little nervous throwing the traditional "softer" teeballs towards him, especially pop-fly's or throwing at his chest. These things are amazing for this type of practice! They're weighty enough to feel like real baseballs, but super soft that if they hit your kiddo they don't hurt them and it doesn't derail practice time. My kiddo loves these things and has quickly gained confidence standing in front of the ball or under the ball when it's a pop fly. Bonus: mom hasn't complained about throwing these inside the house since they're so soft they're unlikely to break something! GET THESE!

Great Practice Balls

These are great training balls. In my experience, they fly about 60% the distance of a regular HS baseball.

They also force the hitter to square the ball up, otherwise it hardly goes anywhere.

They look and feel durable as well, they are made of a thick rubber.

Good for Practice

The balls are pretty great quality! Great for practicing catch. We were throwing the ball inside and at times the ball smashed against the wall but did no damage. It's the same size as your average baseball but much lighter and softer. I don't think I would fully recommend for practicing pitching, but overall, not bad.

Great limited flight baseballs

I'm really happy with these. The size/weight is pretty close to that of a real baseball, so tossing relatively accurate BP has been easy. I estimate they fly 33-50% as far as a baseball would which makes things a lot easier when it's time to get them picked up. It's also a significant perk that they're really soft. I don't have any fear of beaning one of my kids when I'm pitching which allows me to put more steam behind my throws and give them a better simulation of live pitching.

High visibility. Noiselessly drop dead rather than bounce

I am not much of a baseball player, and my wife would be horrified by the thought of throwing baseballs inside the house, even these high visibility, low bounce, soft structured balls.

What I am is an aspiring juggler, one who frequently drops balls. It is a huge plus to have balls that drop quietly and don't roll easily. This set of six balls will last a lifetime. Their uniformity inspires me to juggle more than four.

As far as their intended use for practice balls, I suspect that they would definitely not fly as far as a regular baseball, and their bright yellow color will make them easy to find in grass.

One note of caution: I do not want to cut these apart to find out what they are filled with inside. Probably some dense semi liquid. I would definitely advise keeping them away from dogs.

⚾️ Bright, Safe, and Backyard-Ready—With a Few Trade-Offs

These neon yellow practice baseballs are a win for visibility—easy to spot in the grass and perfect for keeping track during backyard drills. The lower flight design is ideal for tighter spaces, which makes them a great fit for our backyard setup and tee work with my two boys. That said, they don’t carry or hit like a regular ball. My sons usually send hits to the fence, but with these, they struggled to clear the infield.

One thing to note: the balls do squish/cave in quite a bit on contact. They’re soft to be safe, but that extra give takes away some of the feel and feedback of a solid hit. It’s the only drawback we’ve noticed.

✅ Pros:
• High-visibility neon yellow
• Safe for backyard use
• Great for tee work and general practice
• Lower flight helps keep things contained

⚠️ Cons:
• Soft feel on contact may not suit all players

Overall, these are a solid choice for younger players or casual practice in smaller spaces.

Great training balls for situations where you don't want to use regular baseballs.

I've been looking for some quality, training balls for baseball drills. I've used the mush ball things before but they don't seem to last very long. I found these and picked up a half dozen. They're great. They feel very durable but they're soft. They don't weigh as much as regular baseballs but they're the correct size. You can use them for hitting, or I use them for fielding drills where they might bounce up and hit a kid and I wouldn't want that to happen with a real baseball. They're the perfect balance of price vs quality, the function perfectly for what I need, they go just the right distance and they've improved our practices and training. The only thing I'd change is the height of the "laces" but I imagine that will get worn down a bit over time.

Wouldn't get them again

Not sure what other reviewers are seeing here, maybe I'm missing something obvious - but check out my video - these balls are so soft that they have nothing in common with an actual baseball. Not even a softball. They are slippery, feel strange when throwing, when catching, and even feels strange on the bat. Would avoid, my kids will probably never use these.

These are pretty sweet. Official size and weight and limited flight. They advertise %50 less distance but it’s much shorter than that. My 12 year old can only hit them about 50’ and you really have to square them up perfectly to do that or they just spin and go about 10’. They have Nice raised seams that give you some purchase on the otherwise slick ball. I can’t testify on durability yet but they seem to be good. I’ll be buying another half dozen.

Excellent Box of Six Durable, Lightweight Baseball Training Balls

I was immediately impressed with the size, and craftsmanship of these training baseballs. They fit comfortably in the hand, like traditional baseballs, but are flexible and lighter. The material is heavy duty, the size is regulation and the color bright yellow, making them easily identifiable on the ground. The durability will ensure the repeated use of these balls for training, and can be used from season to season. The material, size and weight make them perfect for both indoor and outdoor training in ball field use and batting. As baseball skill sets improve over time, these balls will last and continue to serve as excellent sources for baseball training!

They may be softer, but they still go far!

I ordered these to be added to “BaseGoal”, which I received @ the end of July. My great-nephew turns 5 in the coming days, and these balls are going to be an excellent addition to that! These are soft, but not like a lightweight foam ball. The best way I can describe the material; when NERF came out with their original Football, you could throw it far, but if it hit you, it was usually no big deal. These balls have a nice outer cover, but are very pliable, but still compacted enough to throw and hit! Lastly, they are a vibrant yellow color, so seeing them is very easy……either watching the ball, or trying to find where the homerun landed! I will add pics. I do not know the longevity of these, but with what I see, feel and think I know, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE…….

Great set of balls- size and weight, just soft and yellow. 5 stars.

I'm a sucker for balls, so no surprise I was recommended to try these out. They are pretty much exactly what I was expecting from the listing- balls that are the same size and weight as as baseball- but not as hard.

The size is perfect. The weight is good too. They seem like they would last and are made of high qualiity. I've tossed these around quite a bit but have not used a bat or know if it would hold up. Maybe?

Good value for how many you get.

Squishy baseballs for fun demonstrations in physics class

I plan to use these fun, squishy baseballs for demonstrations in the college physics class I teach. They’re great for demonstrations of parabolic flight, and their low coefficient of restitution also makes them ideal for showing inelastic collisions. Key feature: When they fall to the floor, they pretty much stay where they land rather than bouncing all over the classroom. Plus I can compare them with a bouncy super ball and talk about the internal processes that convert mechanical energy to heat. I can well imagine that these unusual mechanical properties make them a valuable tool for baseball batting practice, too. So cute and easy to use, these squishy baseballs will be in my teaching demo kit for many years to come and I will share them with other instructors. Sweet!

Like Real Baseball except

The weight of the baseball is 5.2 ounces - which is within the regulation weight of baseballs. It throws and flies (when thrown) like a real baseball. It has baseball-like seams for gripping and throwing different pitches. The only difference is that, when hit, they don't go but about 1/10th of the distance of a real baseball, if that. Very impressive that I can let my son play and swing in the backyard without worries of any broken windows, unless he let's go of the bat - but that is another story.

Perfect for teenagers & backyard use!

Got these for my boys (Senior & 8th grader) to use for BP when hitting off the tee in the back yard into a net. The description is accurate, they weight exactly 5oz as stated. My boys’ travel ball teams use things like this - weighted balls that don’t sail across the entire field - makes cleanup & retrieval easier!
I haven’t seen them hit off them yet (it’s been raining) but they should do well and I’d definitely recommend them for the price! Straight out the box they have a very slight oily feel to them, but there is a hole on them (like an inflatable ball) so maybe that’s inevitable. Will probably wipe them all off with an alcohol wipe or damp towel before putting into use.

Great dog toy as well.

My dog (though only 20lbs) is a super chewer and is obsessed with playing ball. These are great. they are soft for him to chew on, have a good weight which is good because he likes to throw them, and very durable. A little more expensive than tennis balls but since I don't need to pick up tennis ball felt from around the house it's worth it. They wash off very easily after playing outside and well worth the money.

Very nice training balls without showing any wear

We are using these for our daughters minor little league team
The weight of these are indeed the same as regulation baseball
The size is the same as well
They are made of very thick but squishy silicone .
They dont go far when hit , and that is the purpose
We are also using them in a unique way : I pitch to the batters that are brand new to baseball , so they get hit by accident , they do not lose confidence and want to quit .
That is a huge bonus for us
You only get 6 balls , which for the cost , unfortunately leave these as average at best
I wish they would offer more balls for the price paid
The silicone is strong and very thick . We have seen zero wear or tear on them .
So they do hold up to repeated hits with a bat
The yellow colorway is a very shiny glossy color , which I personally love .
Our players also like using them in the outfield to catch pop flies in case they hit their head .
Very good for use , not so much in value . But I don't take stars away for that because value is very often in the eye of the beholder
So i recommend these for any coaches looking to add another trainer in to their bag
I had an idea that maybe these can be made in different colors ?

Good limited flight training golf balls but really oily

The Good:
-Limited flight
-Easy to see and find
-Regulation size and weight

The Bad:
-Really oily surface

The Bottom Line:
I’ve been using these LoFli baseballs for practice and they work well. They are regulation size and weight so they’re good for throwing for BP. The big issue I had was the surface of the all the balls was really oily and not sure what that’s from. Overall, if you can deal with the oily surface until it rubs off, then these are good limited flight golf balls.

Perfect balls for practice in smaller spaces.

These are great! They have a good weight to them which make them fun to throw but I'm not worried about getting hit too hard, nor them causing too much damage if they hit something. They make me feel comfortable letting my son hit the ball in our backyard or alley.
